lavender tea cake with honey drizzle

  1. preheat oven to 350. grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. in a small saucepan, bring 3/4 cup milk, 1 tablespoon loose tea and 2 tablespoons lavender to a simmer. (do not boil) ... and then let cool. use a strainer to remove leaves. set lavender milk aside.
  3. cream together 1 cup sugar with 6 tablespoons softened butter. add 2 eggs and blend again.
  4. in a separate bowl, whisk together 2 cups flour , 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder and pinch of salt.
  5. slowly add the flour mixture and milk to the butter mixture. alternate .. ending with milk.
  6. pour into the pan and bake until a toothpick comes clean. about 35-40 mins, i think.
  7. serve warm. drizzle some honey on top. so, so good with a cup of coffee. it's the perfect breakfast cake.

  1. I was really hoping you'd post this recipe somewhere after I saw you making it on Snapchat. You're a wonderful person, I love watching you and your babes live a fun life. Everything is going to be okay, I know moving and your husband losing his job seems big and scary but it's really going to be okay.

  2. I've got kitten fever something fierce, but I also have the same sofa as you and HOW to you keep Pammy from plucking the heck out of it. It is literally the one thing holding me back from getting a kitten! I could be burned at the stake for eve suggesting this, but I suppose you could declaw? Does Pam have her claws? No judgment either way!!
