what's in their easter baskets?

so it feels like out of nowhere, march is almost over and easter is literally, right around the corner. for someone who spends most of her days at home, it is shocking how quickly the time passes. or how quickly the time seems to pass.

anyway, according to my farmer's market calendar, spring is officially here. the magnolia trees have bloomed, the grass is a bit greener and the skies are blue once again. here in ohio, we have to wait another month or two to plant our garden, but we have so many outdoor projects planned and we are totally eager and excited to begin.

okay, now the point of this blog post is to show you what we got our kiddos for easter. typically we get them a little toy, but their grandparents really over did it this year, so we decided to keep things simple and crafty. two of my favorite things!

for rufus, i basically just bought a few things that he currently needs ...

  • plain white onesies
  • sweet potato puffs!
  • honest baby lotion. sweet orange vanilla! omg, smells like heaven.
  • pat the bunny book ... this is our third copy. tears*
for wolfgang and eleanor ... all the crafty stuff! my idea was to gift them a couple of projects to do together. one afternoon we can paint birdhouses and another afternoon we can make necklaces and bracelets.
  • sidewalk chalk
  • paint brushes
  • wooden birdhouse to paint
  • paint!
  • yarn
  • beads
  • a few pieces of chocolate because well, ya just gotta have chocolate!

almost everything came from target cause that's ma store. the baskets i found at joann fabrics and they were only $3 a piece! after easter i will use them as toy organizers in the playroom. i also found the birdhouses at joann's and they were only $1.50. can't beat it! ... lastly, i buy the little muslin bags at a health food store and use them for so many things! you can also buy them in bulk on amazon

that's it! i hope you all have a wonderful upcoming weekend and happiest spring to you!

p.s. most of my time is spent on snapchat now. you can find me under 'kristenmittler'
